Rachel Borisow, LCSW
Rachel Borisow is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has extensive clinical experience providing mental health and counseling services to adults, couples, families, adolescents, and children. Ms. Borisow applies a humanistic, strengths-based approach to understand each person’s experiences, strengths, and struggles. Ms. Borisow is a careful listener and helps to identify a person’s needs, wishes, goals, and potential obstacles. Ms. Borisow has abundant experience with a variety of treatment modalities, including but not limited to cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, and family systems approaches. She is a certified practitioner in DBT and emotional freedom techniques. Additionally, Ms. Borisow has extensive experience treating depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, anger management issues, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, borderline personality disorder, relationship problems, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and many other barriers to achieving positive physical and mental health. Ms. Borisow possesses over a decade of experience providing community and clinical supports through working in tandem with NJ’s Division of Developmental Disabilities, as well as clinical work in NJ School systems with a knowledge base in special education and navigating the IEP (Individual Education Plan) or 504 Plan processes. This includes experience working with children diagnosed with learning disabilities, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Ms. Borisow is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
